Editorial policy
How RR Tech Pulse chooses sources, checks facts, uses AI tools, reports deals, earns money and fixes mistakes.
Sources
- We start from a primary source where one exists: the maker's announcement, documentation, a regulator filing or the retailer listing.
- Other outlets are used to find stories and to report what a primary source does not say. We link them and credit them.
- Every story lists its sources with the date we checked them.
- If a source is blocked to us, or we could not read it, we do not report what it says.
Facts, rumours and numbers
- We never state a price, spec or date that we did not read in a source, or calculate from one and label as ours.
- Rumours and leaks are labelled as reports, with who reported them and that the company has not confirmed them.
- News based on an announcement is reported as such. We do not call a product tested or reviewed unless we have used it.
- Our own judgment is marked as ours, so it is not mistaken for a claim by the source.
AI tools
Research and drafting are assisted by AI tools. They do not publish anything. Every story is checked against its sources and approved before it goes live, and a material change to a published story needs a fresh approval. We do not use AI tools to invent quotes, sources, people or test results.
Deals
- Deals are for US shoppers and priced in USD, as checked, including cents.
- Each deal records the seller, condition, coupon or membership terms and the time we last checked it.
- A comparison price is shown only with a stated basis, such as the seller's regular listed price.
- Expired offers stay readable with a notice.
How we earn money, and independence
Some links to retailers are affiliate links, mainly through the Amazon Associates program: we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. That does not decide what we cover or what we say about it. See the affiliate disclosure.
Images
We use images we own, original graphics, manufacturer press material or licensed images, and credit each one.
Corrections and updates
We correct factual errors on the story with a dated note that says what was wrong. Stories that change because of new information show an updated time and a short note. Read the corrections policy or tell us about an error.
Who is responsible
Stories carry the RR Tech Pulse Editorial byline, a shared byline; there is no newsroom staff. See the editorial team page, and About for what we cover.
