What to buy in the US

Neither DJI Osmo Pocket 4 nor Pocket 4P is officially sold in the US. DJI is on the FCC Covered List, according to RedShark News, and DJI's US store had no page for Pocket 4 when we checked. Pocket 4 and 4P suit buyers outside the US.

Start with Insta360. If you want a DJI, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 on Amazon.com was $395.00 at 3:06 p.m. ET on October 16, 2026, sold by third-party seller Yeehui Innovations. It is not one of the four cameras compared here.

We tested none of these cameras. Figures come from the linked maker pages and press releases.

Pair 1: DJI Osmo Pocket 4 vs Insta360 Luna Pro

Both use a 1-inch sensor behind a 20 mm-equivalent lens. Pocket 4 is the lighter body with more built-in storage and faster slow motion. Luna Pro, a Leica co-engineered model, adds 8K and a log profile.

Which to pick

  • US buyer: Luna Pro, the default of the pair.
  • Vlogger audio: Pocket 4. DJI publishes a three-mic array; we could not confirm Luna Pro's mics and have heard neither.
  • Travel and weight: Pocket 4. It is 24.5 g lighter than the black Luna Pro and has more than twice the built-in storage.
  • Low light: no pick. DJI lists video ISO to 12800 and low-light to 25600; Insta360's spec page gives no comparable figure.
  • Video features: Luna Pro if you want 8K or a 10-bit log profile. Choose Pocket 4 for 4K240 slow motion.

Pair 2: DJI Osmo Pocket 4P vs Insta360 Luna Ultra

Both add a second, longer lens. Insta360 announced Luna Ultra on June 10, on sale the same day in the US.

Which to pick

  • US buyer: Luna Ultra. It adds the 60 mm lens to what Luna Pro offers, at a higher launch price.
  • Vlogger audio: no clear pick. DJI lists three mics; we could not confirm Luna Ultra's mic count.
  • Travel and weight: weight is nearly equal (230 g against 233 g). Luna Ultra claims 30 more minutes of run time; Pocket 4P has about twice the built-in storage.
  • Slow motion and zoom: Pocket 4P for 4K240 slow motion on the main camera; Luna Ultra for the wider 1x to 15x zoom range.
  • Low light: no pick. DJI publishes its ISO limits; we found no independent test of either.

What we could not confirm

  • Real-world low-light, stabilization and audio quality for all four cameras.
  • Luna Pro's and Luna Ultra's mic counts.
  • Luna Ultra's top video and slow-motion modes on Insta360's spec page.
  • The Osmo Pocket 3 price beyond the one Amazon.com read, and whether that seller's terms differ from Amazon's.
  • Warranty or service terms for imported DJI units.
