Amazon is selling Govee's Permanent Outdoor Lights 2, the 100-foot RGBWIC set (model H705E), for $189.99. Amazon's per-foot display works out to about $1.90. Price as of 5:10 AM ET Oct 10, 2026.
Govee's own US site lists the same $189.99 as part of its "Prime Big Deal Days Encore" sale, which Govee says runs Oct 8 to Oct 11, 2026 PDT. Amazon has not announced an end date for its price, and we can't say whether it follows Govee's. Govee's page shows $279.99 as the compare-at price, which makes the saving $90, or 32%. Amazon shows a higher List Price of $329.99, or 42% off.

Is $189.99 the lowest price?
We can't confirm a record low. Business Insider calls it the lowest price Govee has offered, and Govee's page says "Lowest Price in 30 days." We could not verify longer price history, so we make no lowest-ever claim.
Two list prices are in play. Govee's own compare-at price is $279.99. Amazon's struck-through List Price is $329.99, a displayed reference rather than a price we saw the product recently sell at. We base the saving on Govee's $279.99.
Business Insider reports the deal was extended past Prime Day.
What you get
- 100ft of RGBWIC lights (16 million colors plus dedicated white) with 100 scene modes, per Govee.
- Govee Home App control with AI-generated lighting effects, DIY modes and timers.
- IP67 light string; IP65 control box and adapter. Rated -4°F to 140°F.
- VHB glue, clips and screws included. The lights cannot be cut.
- Maximum 9 light segments and 4 extension cables (2 x 12ft, 2 x 4ft). Extensions fit H705D/H705E only and total length must stay under 150ft, per Govee.
- Works with Alexa and Google Assistant; Govee's product page also lists Matter support.
Install effort
This is a permanent install, not string lights you hang each December. Govee says the pucks use peel-and-stick VHB adhesive plus screw-in clips. Business Insider confirms no professional installation is needed and says the set plugs into a standard outdoor outlet.
The Gadgeteer's 2023 review of the first generation warns to measure first; it had to peel up and redo two strands. Govee tells buyers to install only into a covered, weatherproof GFCI outlet.
Why it matters
The trade-off is permanence against effort. You install once and stop hauling ladders each December.
But the layout is semi-permanent: the strip cannot be cut, extensions are capped, and the adhesive mount is hard to move. Govee's own page says the Lights 2 are incompatible with the first generation (H705A), so mixed setups need separate systems.
Who should skip it
- Renters or frequent movers: the adhesive mount is semi-permanent.
- Anyone needing more than 150ft on a single connected run: extensions are capped and the strip cannot be cut.
- Anyone without the Govee Home App or Alexa/Google: full control needs the app.
