Razer has launched the Basilisk V4 Pro, a wireless ergonomic gaming mouse, and its US product page lists it at a starting price of US$169.99. Razer announced the launch on October 8, 2026. The company's US store also offers US$25 in store credit for orders placed during launch week, according to the product page.

Price and availability

Razer's US product page shows the Basilisk V4 Pro "starting from US$169.99" with a buy button. The page lists one model. Engadget also reports the price as $170 and says the mouse is available right now. Razer's press release does not state a price, so the US$169.99 figure rests on Razer's product page.

Razer does not give a launch date beyond the October 8 announcement, and the press release does not name other markets. The product page says the mouse can also be bought from authorised Razer retailers worldwide, without listing them.

What is new

The Basilisk V4 Pro launched alongside the Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro, a wireless charging dock.

Razer's US product page says the mouse works with the Razer Mouse Dock V2 Pro and other charging options such as the Razer HyperFlux V2 for wireless charging.

Razer says the new model is 12 g lighter than its predecessor. It does not give an absolute weight in the release, so we have not stated one.

Tilt wheel, controls and sensor

The main hardware change is the Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2. Razer describes three scrolling modes: 24-step Tactile, a finer 48-step Precision Tactile, and Free-Spin. Smart-Reel switches between tactile and free-spin based on scroll speed, and Razer says each mode can be remapped in Razer Synapse.

Razer lists 14 customisable controls, including a new M1 edge button and a third side button. The multi-function trigger has moved for what Razer calls a more natural reach. The sensor is the Razer Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, which Razer rates at up to 50,000 DPI.

Battery life and connectivity

Razer says the mouse lasts up to 200 hours on its HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 connection at 1,000 Hz, and up to 275 hours on Bluetooth 6.2. The product page quotes only the 200-hour figure, so the 275-hour number comes from Razer's press release and Engadget. Razer says it supports up to five devices across HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth (up to three paired devices) and wired mode.

Razer also says it offers true 8,000 Hz polling in both wireless and wired modes. These are manufacturer claims. We have not tested the battery life, polling or sensor.

What we have not checked

RR Tech Pulse has not tested the Basilisk V4 Pro. We have not checked independent reviews, real-world battery life or how the tilt wheel feels in use.
