Why it matters

The $49.01 saving is measured against the list price. Apple's US store lists the 40mm GPS aluminum Apple Watch SE from $249, the same figure Amazon shows as its List Price.

MacRumors says the price matches last week's Prime Day lows. CamelCamelCamel, which started tracking this listing about nine days ago, shows Amazon's own price at a low of $199.00 on Oct 4, a high of $239.99 on Oct 3, $199.99 since Oct 8, and an average of $212.99. MacPrices reported the 40mm GPS watch at $199 on Oct 4, and TechTimes called $199 the lowest price on record on Oct 5. So $199.99 is $0.99 above that low, not a record. The tracker's history is short, so treat it as a recent range, not a verdict.
