Facebook limits how many links a Page can post for free. Meta's help page says Pages can include links in 2 organic posts or comments a month. A Page that wants more has to pay for a Meta One tier, or use the kinds of links the page says do not count.

What the Facebook Page link limit is

Per the page, the cap works like this:

  • 2 posts or comments a month can carry a link, without paying.
  • It resets on the 1st of each month. Unused links do not carry over. With a Meta One plan, the limit resets on the renewal date instead.
  • It "may not apply to all Pages," in the page's words.

What the paid tiers allow

Meta One tiers set a higher limit, except Essential, which matches the free cap of 2. These are Meta's list prices as shown on its page, as of 12:40 p.m. ET on Oct. 23, 2026. Meta says prices may vary by region:

Meta One tierPricePosts or comments with links
Essential$14.992
Advanced$49.998
Expert$149.9920
Max$499.99Unlimited

What does not count toward the cap

The page lists four things that do not count toward the cap:

  • Extra links in comments on a post that already has a link.
  • Links to Meta apps.
  • Affiliate-partner links.
  • Ads.

What the page does not say

The page gives no start date for the limit. It does not say which Pages are covered, only that the limit may not apply to all of them. It also does not say how a Page is told it has hit the cap.

Why it matters

If your Page shows the limit, you get two free link posts a month. Plan which two posts get the link, because the free cap resets on the 1st and unused links are lost.
