Apple has published an iPhone Duo Repair Manual on its support site. The page, titled iPhone Duo Repair Manual, carries a published date of Oct. 23, 2026.

What the manual covers

The page is a table of contents that links out to the individual sections. Apple lists these groups:

  • Safety and troubleshooting. Safety information and troubleshooting steps.
  • Views and parts. Orderable parts and an exploded view.
  • Tools. A tools section.
  • Step-by-step procedures. One section per component.

Which repairs have procedures

The procedure list runs through most of the phone. Apple has sections for:

  • the back glass, the cameras and the FaceTime camera
  • both batteries and the logic board
  • the Taptic Engine, the speakers and the microphone
  • the outer and inner displays and the cover layer
  • the USB-C connector and the enclosure
  • the volume buttons and the Touch ID and Camera Control buttons

The list has two batteries and both an outer and an inner display, each with its own procedure.

Related guides

The page also links a Heated Display Removal Fixture Operating Manual. It points to Apple's general guides on handling broken glass (104942) and battery safety (100299).

What the page does not say

The page lists "Orderable Parts" and links Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair. It does not say what the parts, tools or the heated fixture cost, or whether the public can buy them. We are not assuming any of that from the manual alone.

Why it matters

The manual covers safety, troubleshooting, parts views, tools and step-by-step procedures for each component. Whether an owner can get the parts and tools is a separate question this page leaves open.
