Best Buy lists the Lenovo Legion Go S Powered by SteamOS in Nebula Nocturne with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD at $999.99. At about 2:37 p.m. ET on Oct. 16, 2026 it was sold by Best Buy, with Add to Cart live and no countdown; shipping was unavailable for our location, but store pickup was offered.
What the price is measured against
The listing is marked "Save $580" against a "Comp. Value" of $1,579.99. That is Best Buy's framing. A better yardstick is Lenovo's US store, which lists the same model number, 83N6000GUS, at $1,607.99, with free delivery by Wed. Oct. 21. We have no price history, so we do not call $999.99 a low.
What you get
Lenovo calls it the world's first officially licensed handheld powered by SteamOS. Lenovo's spec sheet lists an 8-inch 1920x1200 IPS touchscreen with 120Hz variable refresh, 500 nits and 100% sRGB, an eight-core Z1 Extreme running up to 5.1GHz, a 55.5Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and a weight of about 740 g (1.63 lb).
What to check
Memory is soldered, and the same sheet says it is not upgradable, so the 32GB here is what the handheld keeps. Storage is an M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 SSD with a microSD reader. Best Buy's panel shows 2 USB ports and 0 HDMI, while the same sheet lists two USB4 ports at 40Gbps with power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4.
Before you buy
This comparison covers one configuration. Best Buy also shows a 512GB option. Price and stock can change, and availability and shipping can depend on your ZIP code, so confirm both on the Best Buy page. We have not tested this handheld, so we have no battery life or game performance figures.
Who it suits
It suits someone who wants SteamOS out of the box rather than Windows and accepts 32GB of memory that can never be upgraded. Price the Lenovo listing alongside this one before you decide.
