The Nothing Headphone A is $119.00 at Amazon in white or black, sold by Amazon.com, per its US listing read at 4:08 PM ET on Oct 13. Keepa shows that as the lowest white price in 365 days.

The Verge reports that adding Charli XCX's CD Music, Fashion, Film to the order takes 33% off, for $97.52 in total. We could not confirm that at checkout, and Amazon's promotion page said the promotion was not currently shoppable when we loaded it.

What the listing shows

  • Price: $119.00, in stock, shipped and sold by Amazon.com, with a New York 10001 delivery ZIP, per Amazon's black listing. The white listing shows the same $119.00.
  • List price: $199.00, shown as 40% off.
  • Offer text: "33% off with qualifying purchase". Amazon's promotion page calls it a limited-time offer and gives no end date.
  • CD: $17.79 in the pairing box of the same US listing, which shows both prices but no combined total.

The reported bundle price

The Verge says to add the headphones in black or white and the CD to the cart. It reports that other colours also qualify, at higher starting prices; we have not confirmed that.

If the discount applies to the headphones only, 0.67 x $119.00 = $79.73, and the $17.79 CD brings the total to $97.52. That matches The Verge's total and would be $21.48 less than the headphones alone. The 33% and the $97.52 are The Verge's; we have not seen them applied.

Price history

  • White: Keepa's chart shows $119.00 today, the lowest it shows in 365 days. The same price appeared about Aug 26 and 27.
  • Black: Keepa shows $119.00 today and a dip to about $109 for about a day around Aug 26.
  • White, 90 days: $119 to $199, usually about $159 to $169. Nothing lists $199. Keepa shows $299 in February, $199 from March and $129 from about Oct 5 for white. Black's 90-day range includes the dip to about $109.

The Verge's price box shows $137 as the starting price. That matches the headphones plus the CD before the discount ($136.79), not a solo price.

What you are buying

We have not tested these headphones. The Verge's review praised these:

  • Controls: a roller, a paddle and a button, mechanical rather than touch.
  • Build: IP52 dust and water resistance, USB-C and 3.5mm wired listening.
  • Battery: over five days; up to 135 hours with AAC and ANC off, 75 hours with ANC on.

The Verge's review lists compressed outgoing call quality and a carrying bag instead of a case as downsides. Against the Headphone 1, it says the Headphone A keeps much of what was good for $100 less, with three microphones instead of four.

Who it suits

In our judgment, untested, it suits someone who wants physical controls and long battery life, in white or black. It is a weaker fit for frequent calls. If The Verge's total holds, the headphones net $79.73 and are worth it even if the CD goes in a drawer. Check the cart total before paying.
