The Ocarina of Time remake arrives Nov. 5, 2026, and Nintendo's store lists the digital edition at $59.99. It is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-orders are open.
Nintendo describes it as the Nintendo 64 classic returning for a new generation, reborn exclusively for Switch 2.
What to know before Nov. 5
- Platform: Switch 2 only.
- Price: $59.99 for the digital edition, per Nintendo's store page.
- Pre-orders: open now.
- Early-purchase bonus: buy the digital version before Nov. 23, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT and you get a digital wallpaper.
- Rating: E10+ as listed.
What's new
- Microphone play: you can hum or play an ocarina melody into the Switch 2 microphone. Nintendo says this works with a real instrument too.
- Hall of Fallen Heroes: a place with enemy statues and rematch battles.
- Zelda Notes: a companion feature in the Nintendo Switch App.
- amiibo²: new amiibo² figures launch in 2027 and unlock masks. Existing Zelda amiibo give rewards.
One oddity we saw: on a U.S. Google search for the game around 5:12 a.m. ET on Nov. 2, a clickable Master Sword button appeared at the bottom right and triggered a blue wave and Triforce overlay. Nintendo has not announced this.
What this means for you
If you own a Switch 2, the date and digital price are set, and ordering before Nov. 23 gets the wallpaper. If you do not, this game does not run on the original Switch. Check the store page for any edition or price other than the digital one before you buy.

What we checked
Release date, platform, digital price, the bonus, rating and features come from Nintendo's store page and its trailer post, checked at 5:15 a.m. ET on Nov. 2. A $69.99 physical price has been reported elsewhere, but Nintendo's page does not show it and Nintendo has not confirmed it. We have not played the game.
