XREAL announced US pricing for the Aura, its first pair of glasses running Google's Android XR, on October 7, 2026: $1,279 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, according to XREAL's own US shop page as of October 8. XREAL says shipping should begin "before the holidays" in the US, Canada, Japan and South Korea, and early access goes to people who already paid a deposit.

Prices and configurations

As of October 8, XREAL's US shop lists the Aura at $1,279.00 and offers two memory and storage configurations, 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB, in two sizes by interpupillary distance (IPD), the distance between your pupils: M for 60-66mm and L for 66-72mm. The shop page does not say which sizes suit which faces beyond linking to an IPD measuring guide, so measure before you choose. Nor does it say how the 16GB/512GB version differs beyond the extra memory and storage. Every variant showed "sold out or unavailable" when we checked, and the page labels the purchase a full-payment pre-order. We do not know why.

The shop page does not show a separate price for the 16GB/512GB model, and we have not found one from XREAL. Prices are in US dollars, excluding tax; shipping is calculated at checkout. (9to5Google and Engadget report a higher figure for that version; nothing here depends on it.)

The glasses use a see-through display with a separate puck that holds the battery, processing and Android XR, and the box includes the puck, a case, a USB-C cable and a prescription lens frame, per XREAL's page.

When and where

XREAL's shop says the Aura is expected to begin shipping before the holidays for the US, Canada, Japan and South Korea, subject to production and logistics. Its deposit FAQ describes a launch in two waves: the US, UK, Korea and Japan in fall 2026, with Europe shortly after. The two pages do not list the same countries (Canada appears only on the shop page, the UK only in the FAQ), and the shop says dates for other regions are still to be confirmed. 9to5Google reports that public pre-orders open later in October 2026.

How pre-orders work

Early access goes to people who already put money down. XREAL sells a Priority Deposit that counts toward the final price. As of October 8, its listing says "Reserve now for $199", while the FAQ talks about a $99 reservation, so check checkout before paying.

On refunds, the deposit page says you may request a full refund "at any time before your code becomes active," and the FAQ says you can cancel until you complete final checkout. Those are not the same cutoff. The page also says new deposits become usable from the end of October 2026, and the FAQ says a deposit is valid for 30 days after the official launch.

Priority holders must choose a model and pay the balance by October 31, 2026. XREAL says priority affects dispatch order and does not guarantee a delivery date. Founder Priority Pass holders who pay by October 17 get a numbered limited edition. As of October 8, XREAL's shop page says $299 passes ship on launch day and $99 or $199 passes ship in a second wave.

What we don't know

XREAL's shop page does not list field of view, chip or weight, so we are not repeating spec claims here. Engadget has published a preliminary hands-on with an earlier Aura prototype, which is not a review of the final product; we have not found a review of the shipping glasses. RR Tech Pulse has not tested them. For anyone holding a deposit, the practical deadlines are October 17 for the limited edition and October 31 for priority shipping.
