Amazon.com is selling the Apple AirTag 2 1-pack for $24.00 as of Oct 17, 2026, against a $29.00 list price. It was shipped and sold by Amazon.com, read for ZIP 03063. End date not announced.

The 4-pack is $89.00 against a $99.00 list price, sold by Amazon.com. That is $22.25 per tag, a little under the single's price.

Why it matters

The saving is $5.00 on one tag and $10.00 on four, both measured against list price. Apple's US store charges $29 for one and $99 for four, so Amazon's list prices match Apple's.

We cannot confirm this is the lowest price Amazon has charged.

If you shop for Apple gear, we also covered the Apple Watch SE 3 deal at Amazon and the new Apple TV 4K. More picks are on our Gadgets & Accessories page.

What Apple says is new

Apple's AirTag page describes the second generation as having a speaker that is 50% louder and up to 1.5x greater Precision Finding range, both compared with the previous AirTag. Apple says you can hear it from up to twice as far away.

It uses an Apple-designed, second-generation Ultra Wideband chip. Apple's footnote says expanded Precision Finding needs an iPhone Air or iPhone 15 or later, excluding the iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e.

Apple's page also lists a user-replaceable CR2032 battery, IP67 water and dust resistance, and sharing with up to five people. Apple says the battery lasts more than a year. It requires iOS 26.0 or later.

Is $24 a good price?

Compared with the $29.00 list price and Apple's $29 store price, $24.00 is $5.00 lower, about 17% off. That is all we compared.

What we did not check: other retailers, Amazon's price history, trade-in or card offers, and whether the price changes after Oct 17.

Who it suits, who should skip

In our judgment, it suits people who own an iPhone Air or an iPhone 15 or later (not the 16e or 17e) and want the expanded Precision Finding range. It also suits anyone buying several tags, since the 4-pack costs less per tag.

Skip it if your iPhone is older than the 15, or is an iPhone 16e or 17e, because Apple says the expanded range needs a newer phone. Skip it if you already own a first-generation AirTag that works for you.
