Sony has announced the PS5 Prism Collection, a set of see-through DualSense wireless controllers and matching PS5 console covers. The controllers are $84.99 and the covers $74.99. Pre-orders open Nov. 10, 2026 and the launch starts Feb. 4, 2027, according to the PlayStation Blog.
Colors and design
The collection has three designs, each with a glossy finish:
- Flare Orange
- Emerald Green
- Graphite Gray
Sony's design team says the look is meant to bring back the see-through trend of the late '90s. Sony designer Satoshi Aoyagi says a high-gloss clear finish across the back of the controller shows the tech inside, with a metallic finish on the middle cover. He says the orange takes a rosy hue where the transparent material overlaps, the green gains depth and the gray is cool-toned.

What this means for you
If you want a clear controller, the date to watch is Nov. 10, and the covers are the harder item to get because Sony limits where they are sold. Compare that with other PlayStation hardware on our site: the PlayStation Pulse headset is $99.99, and our PS5 SSD guide covers storage upgrades. For this month's games, see PS Plus November Monthly Games.
Sony's post says the controllers are DualSense wireless controllers and the covers are for the PS5 console. It does not say whether the line includes DualSense Edge or any other controller, and it does not say which console models the covers fit.
