This is not a launch-day story. Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE in the US on Aug. 27, and it reached carriers on Sept. 3 and Samsung.com and retailers on Sept. 4. With a promotion now running, here is the US price, the specs and the conditions attached.

- List price: from $699.99 (Samsung's launch release and product page).
- Samsung's buy page shows 128GB at $599.99 (was $699.99) and 256GB at $699.99 (was $799.99).
- Samsung's product page offers up to $400 in instant trade-in credit, or up to $100 off without a trade-in. Samsung dates the up-to-$100 promotion 10/9/2026 to 10/26/2026, "while supplies last."
- Colors: Pistachio, Blueberry and Graphite. Color availability varies by carrier.

- Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, up to 120Hz, 1,900 nits.
- Chip and memory: Exynos 2500, 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB.
- Rear cameras: 50MP wide with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide, 8MP 3x telephoto with OIS. Front: 12MP.
- Battery: 4,900mAh. Charging is 45W wired, 15W wireless, plus Wireless PowerShare.
- Software: Android 17 and One UI 9, the first Galaxy S26-series phone to ship with it. Samsung promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
- Body: IP68, 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm, 193g.

The catches
- The 45W adapter is sold separately, per Samsung.
- The six-month Google AI Pro trial, for eligible users, charges $19.99 a month afterward unless canceled. Samsung says Gemini Omni needs an eligible Google AI Pro subscription.
- My FanCam, Photo Assist and Now Nudge require a Samsung account.
- Samsung's footnote: "Galaxy AI basic features provided by Samsung are free. Any Samsung enhanced AI features and all third-party AI features are subject to different terms and may be subject to fees."
Why it matters
On Samsung's pages, the S26 FE has the same screen size and battery capacity as the S25 FE, at a $50 higher "from" price. The newer chip and One UI 9 are what the extra money buys on paper.
The $599.99 128GB price is a promotion, and it undercuts the S25 FE's list price. The 45W charging claim also needs a charger you buy separately.
Who should buy, and who should wait
- Buy if you want a 6.7-inch screen and a 4,900mAh battery without paying S26 money, and you will use the trade-in or the $100 offer before Oct. 26.
- Consider the S25 FE if you care about price more than the newer chip. Samsung lists it from $649.99.
