Amazon lists the Samsung HW-Q990F 11.1.4-channel soundbar for $998.00 as of 18:35 ET on Oct 26, 2026. It is a bundle with a two-year Amber protection plan, so the price is not for the soundbar alone. End date not announced.
Walts TV ships and sells it, not Amazon. The listing showed it in stock, with free delivery on Thursday, Oct 29, to ZIP 03063.
Why it matters
Amazon puts a "30-day low" badge on the listing and shows a typical price of $1,097.99, so the gap is $99.99. Business Insider's deal report gives a different yardstick: a $2,000 launch price in 2025, a usual price around $1,600 since, and a record low of $948.
By that count this sits $50 above the record low. The two reference prices disagree, so treat the discount as a range, not one number.
What you get
The same report describes a 48.5-inch bar, a wireless subwoofer and two wireless rear speakers in the box. It lists 11.1.4 channels with up- and side-firing drivers for Dolby Atmos, two HDMI inputs passing 4K/120Hz with variable refresh rate, Alexa or Bixby voice control, and Q-Symphony with compatible Samsung TVs.

What this means for you
If you want full surround sound without a receiver, this is a low price on a big system, and the protection plan has a value of its own. The used option costs less but carries no plan.
