Apple released its 27.2 software updates on Oct. 26, according to Apple's newsroom. Apple says Siri AI is now available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

Apple's software-update feed lists iOS 27.2 as build 24B119, posted Oct. 26, 2026. Apple's newsroom post does not state a build number.

Where Apple Intelligence works

Apple says Apple Intelligence is available when Siri and the device are set to Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish or Vietnamese. It adds that some features may not be available in all regions or languages.

Apple describes Siri AI as built on Apple Intelligence, with personal context, systemwide app actions, onscreen awareness and world knowledge.

What Apple's release notes list

Apple's release notes, shown in Settings > General > Software Update and published by MacRumors, list these Siri AI changes for iPhone 16 models and later, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max:

  • Siri recalls your past conversations, so you can ask about something it told you before, such as restaurants it recommended last week.
  • It draws from more sources: photos attached in Messages, Calendar event attendees, voicemails, and better results from Safari history and Reading List.
  • Excluded Apps lets you choose which apps Siri, Search and suggestions can access from one setting.
  • Granular text selection lets you copy part of a Siri response.
  • French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish are added; Siri AI is not available in the EU or mainland China.

Other changes in the same notes:

  • Suggestions in Messages help you act on conversation context, such as adding a Calendar invite for dinner.
  • Shared Albums in Photos can edit captions and comments, avoid duplicate photos, and show a reminder before albums expire.
  • Photos and Image Playground support SynthID watermarking to help identify generated or modified images.
  • The Podcasts Home tab splits New Episodes and Continue Playing.
  • In the EU, an alternative expanded App Tracking Transparency prompt.

What this means for you

Apple's post says Siri AI is available in beta in iOS 27 and is currently unavailable in the EU in iOS. If you set Siri and your phone to one of the five new languages, check Settings after updating. Not every feature is available in every region or language, Apple says.
