Apple announced four smart-home product lines on Oct. 13: the HomeView display, HomePod mini 2, a new Apple TV 4K and Apple Home Collection, a set of LG and Schneider accessories. Earlier reports are in our event preview.

Prices and dates

All prices are U.S. dollars, from Apple's Newsroom releases.

Apple HomeView

  • Display and chip: 7-inch Liquid Retina display (1088 by 1088 pixels, 220 ppi) on a domed speaker base, with brightness from 500 nits down to 0.3 nits. It runs the A18 chip, and Apple says HomeView and the A18 chip include Secure Exclaves for camera and microphone data.
  • Camera and audio: 12MP Center Stage camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Two full-range drivers in the display on both models; the standard HomeView adds a down-firing woofer and two force-cancelling passive radiators in the base. Four-microphone array.
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0 and Thread. The standard HomeView includes a USB-C cable and a 30W power adapter; the wall-mounted model includes neither, and Apple sells the wall mount, cable and adapter separately.
  • Users: recognizes up to six people by face, each with their own Home Screen.
  • Siri AI: available in beta in HomeView software 27.2. Personal context requires a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. What works without one.
  • Wall mounts (Schneider Home): Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector from $59.95; Power Mount AC Wired from $79.95; Power Mount PoE Wired from $129.95, in early 2027.
  • Countries: Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S. Singapore pre-orders start Thu. Oct. 15, 9 a.m. SGT. South Africa through Apple Authorized Resellers, availability Nov. 13.
  • Not sold in the EU: Apple says Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS there.

HomePod mini 2

  • Siri AI: "coming ... in a future software update", in English in the U.S., Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the UK. A date is not stated by Apple.
  • Chip and software: Apple S10 chip; compatible with HomePod software 27.2.
  • Features: Sound Glow light on top; Sound Recognition for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
  • Surround: four-speaker setup with the new Apple TV 4K; it can also be the speaker for a Mac.
  • Markets: the U.S. and more than 23 other countries and regions.

Apple TV 4K

  • Chip: A19, with up to 50 percent faster CPU and up to 2x faster GPU than the previous generation, per Apple.
  • Microphones: three far-field microphones for hands-free Siri.
  • Remote: keeps its design; adds Find My with Precision Finding.
  • Siri AI: beta in tvOS 27.2, and on Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later).
  • Markets: the U.S. and 29 other countries and regions.

Apple Home Collection

Apple says these accessories are designed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric and set up with one tap on iPhone. Prices are starting prices.

Why it matters

The trade-off is Siri AI. HomeView and Apple TV 4K ship with it in beta, and HomePod mini 2 ships without it, with the update date not stated by Apple. Apple also says some Apple Intelligence features have daily usage limits and that expanded access will be available "for a fee in the future". Several features need an iCloud+ plan or an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.

What is not stated

  • Apple's releases do not give a price for the previous Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini, so we do not state a price change.
  • A date for Siri AI on HomePod mini 2: not stated by Apple.
  • A path to selling HomeView in the EU: Apple says it is working with the EU.
  • We have not tested any of these products.
