Ring 2K or 2K Plus
If you are waiting for a Ring doorbell Black Friday price, the 2K is the one to take. Its listing names Retinal 2K video, 6x Enhanced Zoom and Two-Way Talk. The built-in battery recharges over USB-C (cable not included).
The 2K Plus listing adds Night Vision, with color in low light until total darkness, and a Quick Release Battery Pack. It costs $55 more here. Pick it for the swappable battery or low-light color.
Both listings say a Ring Protect subscription, which adds features such as rewatching past events, is sold separately.
Blink
The listing title for the Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ says a Blink Chime (sold separately) or Alexa is needed for in-home alerts.
The Blink Mini 2K+ is a plug-in indoor camera, per its title. For what a Blink setup really costs, see our Blink camera breakdown. For a Ring doorbell plus indoor camera pairing, see the Ring bundle deal.
Fire TV sticks
The newest 4K stick at $29.99 is the pick for most TVs; its listing names HDR10+ and Direct Power from the TV. The 4K Plus listing names Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, so it suits a TV that supports them. Our Fire TV Stick 4K story covers what changed in the new model.
The Fire TV Cube here is the Wi-Fi 6E model, listed as a hands-free streaming device. It is the priciest item on this list. For Ring's higher-end cameras, see the 4K and pan-tilt lineup.
What this means for you
Buy the Ring 2K doorbell and the newest Fire TV Stick 4K if you need either, and skip the Plus versions unless you want their extras.
On Blink, the hardware is cheap. The wired doorbell also needs a Chime or Alexa for in-home alerts, so check your setup first.
Skip the Fire TV Cube unless you specifically want a hands-free streaming device. A $29.99 stick covers most people. Check each listing for the current price and terms before you buy.
